Why Sorone is Voice-First
Because the connection between teacher and child matters.
The Heart of the Work
In teaching, the connection is the curriculum. It’s not a bonus, it’s the foundation. And children know when you’re truly with them and when your head is in a device. Taking photos can interrupt that connection. Each time I look down to name a folder or find a photo, I step out of that moment, and even if for a second, it matters.
The Design Decision
I didn’t want to build another app that pulls teachers away from their work with extra buttons and fiddly workflows. I wanted something that lets us stay in the play and honours the connection and moment, not interrupts it. Sorone opens directly into the camera, with the voice activation right there.
Inspired by Real Life
I use Siri when walking to stay hands-free and focused. That same idea sparked Sorone’s voice-first design:
Say the folder name.
Take the photo.
Stay in the moment.
Built for Presence
Sorone gives teachers time back. But more importantly, it gives connection back by working with you without clicks or extra steps. You stay with the children, and your photos stay sorted and ready when you need them.
Options for Every Teacher
Prefer typing? That’s there too. Because presence looks different for everyone. Sorone works with you, not against you.
